Pierson Brooks Sargent
Mr. Sargent is an aerospace engineer. He has extensive experience using FlightStream, MATLAB, Siemens NX, and Advanced Aircraft Analysis (AAA). As an undergraduate student, Mr. Sargent worked on a wide range of projects including high-altitude ballooning, wind tunnel testing and vehicle dynamics/control research using Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS). Upon graduation, he worked at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) working with Safety-Critical Avionics Systems Branch (SCASB) and Aeronautic Systems Engineering Branch (ASEB) on various projects relating to Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) geo-containment with project Safeguard and Global Positioning System (GPS) /Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) classification. Additionally, he focused on rapid-fabrication technologies and design support around LaRC during his time there.
